Equipment Prescription
Adaptive equipment can be utilised to enhance the independence of people living with a disability, illness or injury.
A general assessment will be conducted to look at:
- Bathroom and bedroom requirements such as hoists, toilet raisers, shower chairs and pressure care options including mattress needs
- Dressing aids
- Laundry and general cleaning
- Recliner chairs
- Meal preparation and eating
- Leisure activities
A specialist assessment can be conducted to identify the most appropriate mobility device, seating needs and pressure care options.
OTTAS works closely with equipment suppliers to ensure the most appropriate solution for each individual. A trial of equipment can usually be arranged.
